Our Web Filter Server filters web traffic to your protected network for inappropriate content. Unlike other Software Products, the criteria that Web Filter uses is subjective. Web Filter blocks content by the following:

Categories (for example, Gambling, pornography, employment)

URLs (www.getanotherjob.co.za)

File Types (virus.exe)

Blocking Web Content for Specific Websites

The default Block List blocks most undesirable content based on subject matter or categories. You also have the option to add specific websites.

Tired of your staff wasting working time on the internet or wasting precious bandwidth viewing sites like facebook, u-tube, blogging etc, well this is the tool for you. Worried about the chances of geting a virus from on line webmail, like gmail etc, this server will stop that.

Unblocking Web Content for Specific Websites

If your organization deems a specific website to be useful and that website is being blocked because of its content or category, or you no longer want to block a website that you specifically blocked.

Firewall

Provides traditional firewall functionality, blocking traffic based on rules. However, the Firewall can both monitor and block traffic. Rules are based on a combination of the following: Protocol, Source, Destination

Reporting

Reporting is generated daily, weekly & monthly. These reports lists who went where and when on the internet, who is trying to access blocked web sites, how much data a specific computer / user downloaded. This is an extermely handy tool when it comes to disaplinary issues.
